The Almshouses in Sevenoaks were established in around 1418 by William Senocke. They are still in use today - although they have been significantly modernised. There are now 17 almshouses in Sevenoaks suitable for a couple or single person, and a further 8 in Weald.
The almshouses are there to provide a comfortable standard of living accommodation for retirement age people in their own community. If you are interested in applying for a place, or you know some one who might be, please read on.
